You press the start button, hoping to come home to clean floors. Instead, you find your Coredy robot stopped in the middle of the room, beeping at you with a red light. Frustrating? Yes. Hard to fix? No.
As the Home Environment Cleaning & Health Center, we handle thousands of support cases. The #1 mistake users make is ignoring the type of red light. According to the official engineering manual, a Flashing Red Light means something completely different from a Solid Red Light.
Use this guide to diagnose your Coredy R300, R500+, R550, R580, R650 or R750 in seconds.
PART 1: Indicator is FLASHING Red 🔴⚡
If the light is blinking on and off, the robot is usually struggling with its Sensors or Power System.
| Beeps | The Problem | How to Fix It |
|---|---|---|
| 2 Beeps | Bumper Stuck | Debris is trapped behind the front bumper. Tap the bumper briskly 5-10 times to dislodge dust and ensure it springs back freely. |
| 3 Beeps | Cliff Sensors / Drop | The robot thinks it's falling. Wipe the sensors underneath with a dry cloth. Note: Black carpets can sometimes trigger this error. |
| 4 Beeps | Low Battery / Charging Error | The voltage is too low. Manually place it on the dock. If this happens often, your battery has reached the end of its life. |
🔋 The "4-Beep" Rule
If you get Flashing Red + 4 Beeps frequently, even after charging, cleaning the contacts won't help. It is time to replace the battery to restore peak suction power.
PART 2: Indicator is SOLID (Stay On) Red 🔴
If the red light stays on without blinking, the robot is facing a Physical Jam. Something is stuck.
| Beeps | The Problem | How to Fix It |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Beep | Driving Wheel Stuck | Check the large rubber wheels. Remove any hair wrapped around the axles. Press the wheel down to make sure it bounces. |
| 2 Beeps | Side Brush Stuck | The spinning brushes are tangled. If they are bent or worn out, replace them immediately to prevent motor burnout. |
| 3 Beeps | Vacuum Fan / Filter Clogged | Crucial: Empty the bin AND clean the HEPA filter. If the filter is blocked, the fan overheats and triggers this alarm. |
| 4 Beeps | Rolling Brush Stuck | Remove the main brush guard. Use the cleaning tool to slice through hair wrapped around the roller. |
💡 Troubleshooting Didn't Work?
If you have cleaned the sensors, removed the hair, and rebooted the robot (by flipping the switch on the side), but the issue persists, the part itself may be worn out.
Common Replacement Guidelines:
- Filters & Side Brushes: Replace every 3-6 months.
- Rolling Brush: Replace every 6-12 months.
- Battery: Replace every 12-18 months.
